PILGRIMAGE

Connect with nature through the ancient shamanic art of pilgrimage. Learn to approach places of power to both restore and strengthen your connection with the natural world. You’ll perform this shamanic ritual in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

CEREMONY

Take part in shamanic rituals & indigenous ceremonies used for personal & planetary healing for thousands of years. Learn techniques to enter the passageway of the heart that connects the human heart with all of creation.

SACRED DANCE

Music is the spirit of the Huichol healing tradition. Listen to songs and chants that have been passed down through countless generations. Together we’ll honor the earth, bring healing to the world, and open our hearts through sacred song and dance.

The retreat is held at Expanding Light Ashram in Nevada City, CA. The center offers amazing grounds and delectable meals. Choose from a variety of accommodation options, including private options.

Recreation

During the retreat you will have the opportunity to utilize the natural surroundings, with time to explore the rolling hills and serene forests.

A limited number of private rooms are available. Please contact us if you would like individual recommendations for your stay.

Enjoy Delicious Meals

Enjoy a delectable vegetarian buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

3 meals each day

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. Meals present a time for stimulating conversation or a quiet space to watch the lake. Vegetarian options are standard. Please notify us if you would prefer non-vegetarian options.

Travel Information

Location of the Retreat

The retreat will be held near Nevada City, California at the beautiful Expanding Light Retreat Center. The area is known for its natural beauty, rivers and enchanting forests. Detailed directions to the retreat center will be sent upon registration.

Flight Arrangements

If you plan on flying, the nearest airport is Sacramento (SMF). Reno Airport (RNO) is also an option but is less preferable due to inclement weather in the winter and higher transportation costs to the retreat.
